mixed feeling about this year's Oscars. I hate it, and I prefer independant spirit awards. However when Sean Penn and Tim Robbins whom I admire for their political leanings, got the awards, it is, in a way, consoling as well as confusing.

[Interestingly not much reported event is Kevin Spacey's web based TriggerStreet.com's Budweiser filmmaker discovery award ceremony. Like Robert Redfort's Sundance Film Festival, TiggerStreet.com has also become a commercial event, and part of the main stream.
