To my reading for these years, rather than India's interest in Sri Lanka-Eelam problem, BRaman seems to motivated to write on anti-eelam stand in the same line of thought what I think Narasimha Ram does; "it is seemingly a safe (and indirect) ventilation for them to express their opinion on their local politics":-) Any Indian intellectual (especailly, from one from Tamilnadu), who beleives in "papers" and "professonally written analyes/reports/articles" reads between lines without passion, s/he may understand the real motive of Mr. B. Raman. We have to look for the factual errors and choices of terms - it does not matter whether they are used purposefully or not-in his "pepper" (will post a separate post on it in this weekend) (for instance, in page 10, while talking about The Charles Anthony Padaipirivu, eh says, "which was directly under Prabakaran and was commanded by Sornam, the chief of his bodyguards (since transferred to Trincomallee" and "He took into it only Tamils from the North known for their loyalty to him." After all, this unit is named after Charles Anthony (Seelan) of Trincomalee and Sornam is from Trincomalee. And, last night when I looked the ilangkai map, Trincomalee is still in the east of ilangkai. Indian Oil Blending Ltd has yet to start its operations to move it to North or Far North)
